Buying & Sending Gift Cards

How do I place an order?

You can shop online at any time and pay by credit card, Giftz eGift Card, Google Pay, Apple Pay & PayPal. Simply select the product you wish to purchase, choose the denomination, and fill out the sender and recipient details.

How do I check the status of an order?

You can check the status of an order by clicking on Sign In at the top of any page. After logging in, the My Account screen will appear. Click on the Order History section to review the status of your order, you will also receive email updates on your order.

Do I need to create an account prior to ordering and sending an eGift card?

No you do not. You will be given the opportunity to set up an account or checkout as a guest during the purchase process. Please keep in mind that if you checkout as a guest you will not be able to track your order online.

How can I pay for my purchases?

We accept debit and credit cards from AMEX, Visa® and MasterCard. You can also pay via Giftz eGift Card, Google Pay, Apple Pay & PayPal.

How can I choose a different payment option?

After you have added items to your cart and proceeded to check out, scroll down to the billing information where you will have 4 payment options available: credit/debit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay & PayPal. If you can’t see Apple Pay as an option, please ensure you are ordering on your iPhone, Mac or iPad for it to appear.

When will my recipient receive their eGift Card?

Most orders are delivered within 12 hours. It can sometimes take up to 48 hours from the time of purchase to review the order unless you specify a future delivery date.

For all card types, you will receive an email confirmation for your order.

The recipient has not received the gift card?

Please check the email address provided for the recipient. The email address of the recipient can be found on the order confirmation email. If there is a discrepancy with the email address, please contact us. Please have your order number and the recipient's email address ready. If the email is correct, please get the recipient to check their junk/spam folder, if it's still undelivered please contact us.

What happens if I sent the gift card to the incorrect email address?

Please contact us and include the original email address and the new correct email address. We can try to resend the eGift Card again as long as the gift card information has not been exposed or used and the order was made within a Giftz account. If you checked out via 'Guest checkout' we are unable to edit your order to add the correct recipient email address, so this order wll need to be refunded and placed again with the correct email address.

If the recipient accidentally deletes or loses the email, can the eGift Card email be resent?

Yes the eGift Card can be resent, please contact us so we can assist you.

Will my eGift Card get blocked or placed in the recipient’s junk folder?

Giftz use a leading digital email delivery system to ensure your eGift Card is delivered instantly and safely to the intended email account. However, if your recipient has not received their eGift Card, please request they check their junk folder or contact us if not located.

Where are the Terms and Conditions for the eGift Card?

Prior to purchasing an eGift Card please check you are happy with the Retailer's Terms and Conditions. This information is visible on te eGift Card product page under the 'Terms & Conditions' drop down. Please review these terms prior to purchasing your eGift Card.

Are there any restrictions on purchasing eGift Cards?

There are no restrictions to purchasing an eGift, however brands do have set denominations. Please refer to the specific brand’s product page to find out what denominations are available.

Can my gift card be cancelled or refunded?

Once the order has been placed, it is non-refundable. If the intended recipient does not receive their order or accidentally deletes their eGift, please contact us so we can assist in resending the eGift.

Receiving Gift Cards

Do I need to activate my eGift Card?

Some eGift Cards may need activation, others will arrive fully activated. Please follow the link and redemption instructions for your eGift Card.

Can my eGift Card be used instore and online?

Please check the Terms and Conditions of the eGift Card you wish to buy before making your purchase. Each Retailer has their own Terms and Conditions and the Gift Card you buy will be governed by these terms.

How can I check the balance or value left on the card?

To check the balance of your:

  • Activ Visa, Giftz or Ultimate eGift Card please visit www.cardbalance.com.au
  • Swap Gift Card please visit cardholder.swapgiftcard.com.au
  • For all other gift cards please visit the gift card brands website and follow their instructions or contact their customer support, both items can usually be found in the websites footer information.
  • Are there any fees for using the card or checking its balance or transactions?

    There are no fees for using or checking the balance of the card. The entire balance on the card is for the cardholder’s use.

    Do eGift Cards expire?

    Please refer to each brand’s terms and conditions for the eGift Card expiry, found on the brand’s product page prior to purchasing the card.

    Gift Cards General

    What delivery options do you have?

    We only sell digital eGift Cards. The eGift Card is emailed to the recipient's email address. Please check your spam/junk inbox if eGift has not shown up in your primary inbox.

    Where can eGift Cards be used?

    Most cards can be used at the brand's retail locations and online at their website. However, since every retailer is different, please refer to their specific redemption details found on each brand’s product page prior to purchasing the eGift card.

    Do you sell plastic Gift Cards?

    Giftz does not currently sell physical plastic gift cards, only digital gift cards.

    Can eGift Card and Prepaid Gift Cards be reloaded with new funds?

    No, our cards are single-load only.

    Can I top up the value of my eGift Card or Prepaid Card?

    No, cards are set in values and cannot be topped up.

    Can eGift Card and Prepaid Gift Cards be used to get cash from an ATM?

    No, our cards cannot be used at an ATM.

    How do I add my Ultimate Gift Card to my mobile wallet?

    Ultimate Gift Cards can be added to your Apple, Samsung, or Google mobile wallet. To add your Ultimate Gift Card to your mobile wallet follow the steps below:
    1. Go to the Wallet app on your mobile device.
    2. Click on the plus (+) icon.
    3. Enter your card details from your eGift.
    4. Your card has now been added to your mobile wallet.

    I’m having trouble adding my Ultimate Gift Card to my mobile wallet.

    Apple, Google, and Samsung Wallets have limits to the total number of cards a user can have in their wallet at any one time. These companies have their own security process that may stop a user from being able to add a card to their digital wallet. Ultimate Gift Cards has no control of these security protocols put in place by Apple, Google, or Samsung Wallets.     Do these eGift cards expire or have any fees?

    No there are no fees associated with the Ultimate eGift Card. Yes, the Ultimate eGift Cards have a 5 year expiry from date of purchase.

    What happens if an item was purchased with the Ultimate Gift Card and needs to be returned?

    Any refunds on Card transactions are subject to the policy of the specific merchant. Refunds may be in the form of a credit to the Card, cash refund or in-store credit. If the Card expires or is revoked before you have spent any funds resulting from a refund (whether or not the original transaction being refunded was made using the Card) then you will have no access to those funds.

    What happens if I lose the email with my Ultimate eGift Card?

    The eGift Card can be resent, please contact us so we can assist you.

    Do I have to spend the entire amount of the Ultimate eGift Card in a single purchase?

    No eGift Cards are partially redeemable. Within the Gift Card’s validity period, any available balance can be used for multiple purchases at any participating merchant. If the value of the purchase is more than the amount of the gift card, you can supplement the additional value with cash or another payment method that is accepted by the merchant.

    Can I see a list of transactions made with the Ultimate Gift Card?

    Yes, you can view your Gift Card balance and transaction history at www.cardbalance.com.au

    Can I use my Ultimate eGift Card in-store?

    Your Ultimate eGift Card works the same as a Visa debit card. It can be used in-store, online, added to mobile wallet and exchanged for an eGift card. Please refer to All Retailers page as functionalities may not be available for certain retailers.

    Can I exchange my Ultimate eGift Card for a participating retailers eGift Card?

    Yes, your Ultimate Gift Card can be exchanged for a partner eGift that is listed as participating retailer on your Ultimate Gift Card. Please ensure your Ultimate Gift Card has a sufficient funds available to complete the exchange. Visit www.exchangeyourcard.com.au for more details. Please note that not all partners are available for the exchange function

    Where can I use my Ultimate eGift Card?

    For the most up to date list of participating retailers please visit www.ultimategiftcards.com.au/all-retailers. Retailers are removed and added regulary, please check this page before redeeming your eGift.

    WhatsApp FAQs

    Why should I opt in to receive WhatsApp messages?

    Our WhatsApp order details confirmation message gives you quick and easy access to your order details. As soon as you place your order, you'll get the order details confirmation message sent to your phone via WhatsApp.

    Can I contact Giftz.com.au on WhatsApp?

    We are not currently set up for conversation over WhatsApp with our customers. We can only send you your order confirmation details over WhatsApp. If you need to get in touch, [contact us].

    How can I check that the WhatsApp message is from Giftz.com.au?

    To make sure your WhatsApp message is from us, we recommend you check the sender’s WhatsApp contact information. We always send WhatsApp messages from our business account. Our account displays our logo, our business name Giftz.com.au and our verified WhatsApp business account number +61 419 699 392.

    I want to get messages from Giftz.com.au on WhatsApp. How can I opt in?

    You can choose to receive confirmation of your order via WhatsApp message from us during checkout when you make your next purchase. Check the box on the billing details page to let us know you want to hear from us via WhatsApp.

    I no longer want to receive WhatsApp messages. How can I withdraw my consent?

    We’d love to stay in touch! But if you no longer want to receive WhatsApp messages from us, you can unsubscribe using the STOP button in your order confirmation message or type STOP and send it to us via WhatsApp. If you change your mind, you can opt back in at any time. Just type SUBSCRIBE and send it to us.
